sábado 4 de mayo dio inicio la Primera Liga de Ajedrez del Asturiano con la
entusiasta participación de casi 80 socios que disfrutan este bello juego.
La liga abarca dos categorías: Infantil,
con 22 niñas y niños de 8 a 13 años, y Abierta Absoluta, en dos grupos, con 56
socias y socios de 15 a 88 años.
El Salón de Ajedrez lució espectacular
con 20 mesas llenas de tableros y jugadores, que disputarán partidas los

UN DEPORTE?
La

4.- Organización Mundial, cualquier deporte
requiere una estructura y una organización que permita su difusión y práctica
extendida. El ajedrez cumple este requisito; tiene su propio Campeonato Mundial
establecido desde 1886.
5. Sistema de evaluación por puntos.
Internacionalmente existe el sistema de puntuación ELO, un cálculo estadístico
que mide la relativa habilidad de los jugadores. Creado por el físico
estadounidense Árpád Élő y adoptado en 1960 por la FIDE (Federación
Internacional de Ajedrez).
6. Además existe un Código de
Comportamiento, es decir, los ajedrecistas que infringen el espíritu deportivo
son penalizados por la Federación. El código fue aprobado por una Asamblea
General en 1989 y contiene desde infracciones éticas hasta administrativas.
