Festejos – Visita al asilo del Hospital Español

El sábado 4 de febrero la Junta Directiva del Centro
Asturiano llevó a cabo la acostumbrada visita anual a los
ancianos que residen en el asilo del Sanatorio Español. Esta
actividad forma parte del programa de nuestra Sociedad en
beneficio de los asilados en dicha institución y pone de manifiesto
el interés que existe en el Centro Asturiano por todos aquellos
emigrantes que en un momento pueden atravesar una situación
poco favorecedora al llegar a la tercera edad.

En esta visita los miembros de la Junta Directiva, encabezados por
el presidente Manuel Arias Díaz, acompañados por sus esposas,
entregaron distintos presentes a los asilados y departieron
amistosamente con ellos. Las autoridades de la Beneficencia
Española recibieron a nuestros directivos y a sus distinguidas
esposas. En este evento también participó el Cuadro Artístico de
mayores y menores quienes, junto a la Madrina, presentaron en
el atrio de la capilla hermosos bailes folclóricos asturianos para el
deleite de los asilados.
