La Romería del Socio es una festividad ampliamente esperada por todos los que tenemos el privilegio de pertenecer a la comunidad del Centro Asturiano de México, de manera especial en este año en que se celebra del centenario de su fundación. La rama de Frontenis celebró en grande esta fecha.
Primeramente, con una entusiasta participación en el tradicional desfile deportivo en el que un nutrido contingente de amantes de la raqueta hizo presencia en el circuito establecido para el efecto.
Posteriormente, se verificaron un buen número de partidos en las diferentes categorías en las que se compite, destacando la realización
del Torneo de Tercera Fuerza del Socio en el que resultaron ganadoras las parejas siguientes:
Primer lugar Javier Alcántara y Juan José Agulleiro
Segundo lugar Manolo Flores y Guillermo Fosado
Tercer lugar Salvador Zendejas y Ricardo Tlapanco
Por último, un amplio grupo de frontenistas con sus familiares se reunieron en los jardines del Parque para celebrar una comidaconvivio que resultó sumamente animada y que se prolongó por
varias horas. De esta manera la celebración de la Romería del Socio por parte de los frontenistas se puede considerar muy gratificante, en
plena sintonía con el espíritu festivo que privó en toda la jornada y en todas las disciplinas deportivas y sociales del Centro Asturiano.
